This is a beautifully detailed and finished solid American walnut chair.  It is by design supremo Paola Navone, artistic director of Gervasoni.  The seat is woven PVC rope in black or white or as seen here in the close up, brown leather.  It has a pleasing retro feel at the same time as being thoroughly modern.
